Default Play and end float? Is this normal??

Right, trying to get my 2100 motor turning, and I found that when turning the crank by hand, the flywheel would grate on the starter gear every time the pistons compressed.

So, I pulled the engine, and this is the play and endfloat I have on the crank... The end float is about 1mm, and the rotational play you can see for yourself, click to view the video...

Now, is this normal or not?

endfloat should be around the 0.07mm-0.13mm,1mm of endfloat is quite alot
That amount of movement on the crank is not good..

I took the flywheel off after posting, re-seated, bolted it up again and... It's fine now, no rotational play, no endfloat (well, no more than the normal perscribed amount!) and it turns n burns. Just need to tune the carbs and I'm away!

Perhaps the flywheel wasn't torqued up correctly originally.
