I think i may be taking the bug off the road for a couple of months and getting a cheap golf tdi runabout. If i keep using it as my daily i'm never going to get it stripped down and repainted, so doing it this way will hopefully make it easier and a better job of it. Got a running issue too, it sometimes splutters on long hills on dual carriageways/motorways at 55ish so this may be the time to get a 1600 back in it as well, as i doubt it'll have the oomph to pull my caravan as it is. I'll probably start a new part 2 thread when the strip down begins.

Damn it's a long time since i posted. Took the bug off the road at the end of April when the tax ran out. Bought a Pug 306 D Turbo and that's about as far as i got. Lack of funds means i've just been moving around the drive to keep things moving. Be nice to think it's on the road by spring next year but who knows?!
