Cheers for the comments guys.

Bit more body work to update, plus I basically got the passenger door suicided.

Follow on from the work that Jaybug done while I was away earning a crust:

Got the drivers side rear wing widened, just tacked for now. Will come back to it to finish off later.

Got the drivers front 1/4 welded in perminently

Fuel filler flap flushed over

Fuel tank/spare wheel area panel welded in, and steering box inspection hole cut for right hand drive. Used the bit I cut out to blank the other side.

Got the various holes and recesses filled over in the A post too

Work on the suicide doors started with adapting my purchased hinges to fit in the bugs narrow B post:

Had the body blocked up and completely level before making a level vertical line on the B post. I will work from this to cut the holes and mount the hinges.

Tacked the door plates to cut outs in the door, and basically the door is swinging smoothly, and opening/shuting reasonable well, but still needs final adjustments and strengthening plates welded in

Closed the door and tacked it in the place i wanted it

Plate made from 2mm plate and tacked the welded

added plates to the upper hinge, once I was happy, I cut the tack welds that were holding the door.

Now I need to do a fair bit of work on the A post, and then weld in the latch and striker bolt plates, and also figure out how/where I will mount the solenoids, door poppers ect.......
